AFTERCARE

The results achieved during your procedure generally last from 12 to 18 months. However, as with many procedures of this type, there are several factors that will prolong, or reduce, the expected durability.

Please follow these instructions for the next ten (10) days following the procedure to improve and prolong the results:

  • No makeup should be applied directly to the brow area during the healing process.

  • Avoid sauna/steam rooms and sunbeds.

  • Avoid wetting the brows. If the brows become wet, please pat dry with a clean cotton pad.

  • Do not touch, rub, pick or scratch the treated area.

  • Do not work out. The sweating can cause the pigment color to change and fade drastically.

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure as this will cause the pigments to fade and increase change of irritation.

  • Avoid using daily skin care products on the treated area.

  • If you must undergo an MRI, be sure to inform your physician/technician that you have had a microblading procedure.

  • If you are planning on undergoing a chemical peel, or any other medical treatment, please inform your physician/technician you have had a microblading procedure.

  • If you decide to donate blood, be sure to inform the nurse/technician that you have had microblading a procedure.

Once your seven (7) day healing period has elapsed, you may return to your normal routine and begin encoring your new brows to the fullest!

To care for your new brows over the next ten (10) days, please follow these very specific instructions. Please keep in mind, 70% of how well your brows heal is based on how well you care for them afterwards.

  1. I recommend using "Waterwipes" to care for your new brows over the next ten (10) days. They're very gentle on the skin, and does not disrupt the pigment. They can be found in the baby section of your local Target, Walmart, or Publix.

  2. (30 minutes after your procedure) you must gently wipe your brows in one (1) direction, until no pigment is left on the wipe.

  3. Allow the area to dry, and apply a very small layer of Aquaphor with clean hands or a cotton swab.

  4. After the first 30 minutes, please repeat steps 2 and 3 every 2 hours until bedtime on day 1.

  5. On days 2-7, (5x daily) please wipe your brows with the wipes in one direction. Allow to slightly dry and quickly apply a thin layer of your Aquaphor.

  6. The purpose of wiping is to remove the lymph fluid that is oozing from the skin trying to scab. If a scab forms, as it falls you will lose the color completely in your brows, resulting in blotchy ink. Please REMEMBER TO WIPE AND BALM YOUR NEW BROWS AS DIRECTED.
